Year three

Autumn, the children loved making nature me’s. They used clay as the base for their face. They were then encouraged to look around forest school for natures treasures to use. We talked about our feelings and how that would represent on our model.
Summer 2,
The children have been learning about rivers in the classroom and during a school trip to the Tyne.  We took this as inspiration for our Forest School session. The children worked in small groups to make a river using foil and natures treasures. The children's main focus was to construct a river as a team and think about the aspects needed.  The children worked fantastically. There were many ideas and they all looked different.  Did they all flow once water was poured? No, but they worked on their design again to adapt or repair. A very important aspect to any learning. Try and try again.
