Just like young trees putting down deeper roots and reaching for the sky, our Year 3 children are growing more inquisitive, independent and creative learners every day. In Year 3, we continue to nurture each unique learner —as they begin to stretch, branch out, and blossom in new and exciting ways.
In Year 3, your child will continue to 'grow their learning' from a curriculum that is carefully matched to their ability and own interests, through quality teaching, exciting trips and forest school.
Children will have the opportunity to be appointed as members of the School Council, Eco-Warriors, STEM Leaders or as Blossom Buddies. These rolls will be changed each term, giving children a taste of whole school responsibility.
At the end of Year 3 we aspire for all the children to be the best version of themselves, build their resilience and confidence and enjoy suitable challenges.
We achieve this through offering all children a variety of different and exciting opportunities in and out of the classroom, including - Ukulele, Swimming, Bike for Health, Forest School, Road Safety and a number of sporting competitions, festivals and educational trips.
