Welcome to Nursery
"From little pips mighty apples grow!"
At Appletree Gardens our bespoke and carefully sequenced Early Years curriculum is designed to support all of our pupils to blossom and achieve future success.
We believe it is every child’s right to access an education that is rich in wonder. At Appletree we celebrate and encourage children to follow their interests and we strive to provide exciting, first hand experiences to help grow curiosity and strengthen and deepen understanding.
We recognise that each child is unique and we support all children to make progress from their individual starting points. We are determined that through meaningful, memorable learning experiences we can come together to recognise and grow each individual’s potential for excellence.

Session Times
Morning Nursery:
8:45 am - 11:45am
Afternoon Nursery:
12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
For those children attending 30 hours we also provide a lunchtime wraparound service between 11:30 and 12:30 at a cost of £4
30 Hours Provision
At Appletree Nursery the 30 hour provision is teacher led. All 30 hour children have their formal teaching session in the morning for example phonics, maths, Talk4Writing, Jigsaw etc. In the afternoon, the children remain in the same familiar nursery setting and build on these skills. It has been wonderful to see these children become mentors for the afternoon children; taking their learning to a greater depth.

Grow Your Learning...
Through our curriculum we want pupils to:
* Be independent lifelong learners with ambition to achieve in any chosen direction
* Be themselves
* Respect and celebrate differences
* Be mentally and physically healthy
* Develop a broad and balanced knowledge base
* Read to succeed
* Be thoughtful citizens in their own community and the wider world
What Does the Nursery Curriculum Look Like?
Our curriculum is rich and varied with a balance of adult led and child initiated activities. At the heart of our curriculum is our children and we personalise our planning for each cohort. The environment reflects the children's interests and we follow their fascinations throughout the year. We teach, practise and embed skills and knowledge through play - in Nursery there's no such thing as a dull day!
